Cleveland Jazz Vocalist Maria Jacobs Shares Her New Songs With Nighttown Audience

Sun 9/24 @ 7PM

Maria Jacobs spent more than a decade performing in Los Angeles before returning to her roots in Cleveland. The jazz/pop/folk singer/composer with the rich, dark voice and insinuating phrasing has a particular affinity for the music of Joni Mitchell, three of whose songs appear on her 2014 Here Comes Winter, her fifth. She’s also an accomplished songwriter in her own right.

Now Jacobs has another album on the way, called Lucky Girl. She’ll be celebrating its release with her hometown audience at Nighttown where she’ll be joined by guitarist Bob Fraser pianist Rock Wehrmann, acoustic bassist Aidan Plank and drummer Mark Gondor. Tickets are $10.
