Stan Hywet Hall in Akron Finally Sees the Light in LightNights

Thu 8/17-Sun 9/17 @ 7-10PM

For the first time, Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens in Akron switches on a 3D pageant after dark, for August and September this year.

Stan Hywet is, of course, the sprawling English-style manor house and grounds built by Goodyear rubber magnate F.A. Seiberling, completed in 1915 (back when there was a local economy). The property has been maintained as a Summit County cultural/architectural treasure.

But now a Los Angeles high-tech production outfit brings history to life with “video mapping” f/x and illuminations. It creates a 3D-overlay effect over the Manor House property that tells the Seiberling story onsite, more vividly than ever before. This isn’t PowerPoint! Note regular Stan Hywet guided tours are suspended during LightNights.

Tickets are $18 for adults; $9 for ages 6-17 and free for children 5 & under. Stan Hywet member prices are $14 adults and $7 for ages 6-17.
