Cleveland’s High-Energy Celtic Rockers Craic Hold CD Release Party & Film Benefit at the Agora

Fri 8/11 @ 7PM

Cleveland Celtic rockers Craic have been kicking around for about eight years now, playing every nook and cranny of the region, its eight members making a big sound that’s both traditional and irreverent. They not only cite the Pogues and Flogging Molly as influences but cop to a heavy bluegrass influence as well. They’re high energy and a whole bunch of fun.

They’ve put out a couple of records — an EP called It’s Still New Enough That It’s Forgivable in 2011 and Amongst the Mischief and Malarkey in 2014. So yeah, they’re due for a new one and here it comes! The release show for Sounds of Vandemark takes place at the Agora Ballroom, where Super Awesome Macho will be opening.

It’s also a fundraiser for a Cleveland-made movie called In Guns We Trust, described as “a fast-paced dark comedy with serious undertones.” Trailer here.  Tickets are $13 in advance, $15 at the door.
