Local Hip-Hop/Electronic Duo Smoke Screen Headlines Grog Shop to Introduce New Album

If you’re tired of indie rock with four guys bashing away on guitars, come down to the Grog Shop to hear four local artists doing music of a different type.

Headliners Smoke Screen — MCs Rodney “Mooke” Mynatt and Tommy “Chemist” Sheridan — have been kicking around for a decade doing their electronic-flavored alternative hip-hop music. Although they never stopped making music, it’s been a while since they released anything new. But now they’ll putting out Return to the Sun, their first full-length since Imagination Beyond Illustration in 2010.

Also on the bill are DJ Eso, the eclectic soul/jazz/hip hop/spoken word quartet Mourning [A] BLKstar and singer/rapper Archie Green who uses his music to enlighten and inform, especially about mental health.

Tickets are $6 in advance, $8 at the door.
