Geneva-on-the-Lake’s Summer Kickoff Party Deserves All-the-Hyphens

Sat 5/13 @ 1PM

A Lake Erie resort community with a legendary “Strip” of fun day- and night-life, Geneva-on-the-Lake in summer is the driving distance alternative to the Florida Keys.

The area’s Saturday afternoon Kick-Off Parade symbolically opens the Strip for the summer, with months of wine events, dinner theater, golf, live music and regular flea markets and craft shows, and the wonderful clockwork shooting gallery still operable as ambiance at the Sandy Chanty.

The next day, the Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake will have its Mother’s Day Brunch from 10am-3pm. Reservations for that are a must, while spectating at the procession is perfectly free.

Used to go with my Grandparents and now I take my grandson. Certainly a welcome case of what goes around comes around.

I went to Geneva on the lake and Conneaut lake park every summer growing up.

The parade was great!! What a great way to open the 2017 season. The weather cooperated and the turnout was fantastic. Thank you to everyone who put this on and everyone who came out to watch it.
