There are few people in the art scene who are such passionate collectors of, and advocates for, local art as curator and former gallerist William Busta, who curated the current archive show at Zygote Press’s gallery, and his wife Joan Tomkins.
Zygote is providing people interested in local art with the opportunity to visit their home, tour their collection and hear them talk about the work they own along with their long-time connections to Zygote Press. Guests will also get to hear from prominent local artists local artists Kristen Cliffel, Michael Loderstedt and Lawrence Channing, whom Busta has championed through his galleries. There will be light food and drinks as well.
It’s $45 per person, $80 per couple for Zygote members, $50 per person and $85 per couple for non-members. Make a reservation — obviously, space is limited. Zygote is planning more Open House Collector Tours in the future, so stay tuned!
