Maybe atoning for a certain burning river had something to do with it. But the northeast Ohio commemoration known as EarthFest, this year at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in Berea.
This claims to be the oldest recurring Earth Day commemoration in the country, plus Ohio’s single largest environmental awareness event. See! exhibits on sustainability and ecology. See! a vendor fair of eco-friendly home products and businesses. See! live entertainment, biodiesel and electric vehicle rides, organic produce, animal shows, plant/garden giveaways, recycling demos and more.
Exhibits themselves close at 5pm but the concerts continue until 7pm. Admission is $8 for the general public, $4 for ages 2-11. In a decidedly (or deciduously) cute idea for this year, attendees who dress up like a tree get in for free. No kidding, that’s what it says on the website.
