Sat 4/22 @ 10AM-4PM
Ground zero for Earth Day in the Summit County parks system has got to be the town of Twinsburg. In Liberty Park, representatives from the Summit Metro Parks and the City of Twinsburg will convene for special Earth Day festivities including live music, hikes, exhibits and an electric car display, all from noon to 4pm.
You want more? Be at gorgeous Gorge Metro Park in Cuyahoga Falls at 10am for a presentation that promises to tell the whole truth about the Cuyahoga River catching fire in 1969, the alleged spark that led to the creation of Earth Day.
A 10am Wildflower Walk happens at Furnace Run Metro Park in Richfield. Top off your Earth Day with a dusk bird watching expedition at Pheasant Run in Norton, departing at 8pm in search of woodcock and owls. Bring your own binoculars.
All events are free and open to all.
