Gene Simmons Turns the Agora into Cleveland Rock City

Sat 3/18 @ 8PM

Between the face paint, the acting and reality-show roles, the Marvel-KISS-comics-with-real-KISS-blood and the NPR interview that left Terry Gross speechless, it’s easy to forget that Gene Simmons is one formidable musician, as a vocalist and bass player.

It was Simmons’ tutelage and assists on legendary unreleased demos that got Van Halen going. A boxed set of hundreds of hitherto-unheard songs Simmons has recorded is one of hard rock/heavy metal’s Holy Grails (Simmons claims he’s waiting for the right distribution deal).

As a tie-in to the big Wizard World Cleveland media/comic-book convention, the legendary Agora Concert Club presents “An Evening With Gene Simmons and His Band,” with tickets starting at $29.95, all the way up to a deluxe VIP balcony rate.

And if the Gene Simmons magic lingers, know that a Wizard World after party (featuring the electro sounds of Killrat) happens in the Agora at 11pm, with a separate admission of $20.
