Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge doesn’t spend all her time in Washington D.C. giving Donald Trump the stink eye. (Look up the wonderful photo of her at his recent speech to Congress, with her arms folded across her chest, glowering). She’s also frequently back home in the district, holding events to help her constituents get healthy, find job training or access the government services they’ve earned.

This week she’s joined with Cuyahoga Community College to host the three-day NEOSTREAM: The Inaugural Northeast Ohio Science, Technology, Recreation, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics Conference. Its goal: “to promote STREAM education, resources, and tools; encourage students of all ages to consider careers in these fields; and to foster critical relationships among federal and local agencies, elected officials, businesses, and community organizations around STREAM opportunities.”

The event takes place at Tri-C’s eastern campus and Corporate College with tracks for educators, students and “executive leaders” on Thursday and Friday and a community day on Saturday at Corporate College open to the public. For more information, go to
