Sun 3/19 @ 3PM

Adventurous classical music fans who like to take a break from warhorses they know by heart should certainly check out performances by the Cleveland Composers Guild, which exists for the purpose of encouraging the composition of new music.

For their upcoming concert at the Judson Manor Ballroom in University Circle, they’ll present new chamber music pieces by members Larry Baker, Matthew Saunders, Scott Michael, William Rayer, Paul Epstein, Mary Ann Griebling, Margi Griebling-Haigh and Julián Fueyo, for instrumentation ranging from solo to quartets. On Fueyo’s Zafiro for violin and piano, Cleveland Orchestra First Associate Concertmaster Peter Otto will perform with Randall Fusco on piano.

It’s free and open to the public; free-will offerings will be gratefully accepted.
