It’s that time of year again. No, not Mardi Gras — Paczki Day!
On this day, which dovetails with Mardi Gras, Parma bakery Rudy’s Strudel hosts an all-day party revolving around these pastry pockets that come filled with more than two dozen sweet and savory flavors including this years special flavor, the Parma-Que filled with beef brisket from Parma’s Baribacu Smoke House.
Things kick off at 5:30am (that’s correct!) and you’ll want to be early for the best range of choices. All day long, there’ll be bands and DJs playing music including Dj Kishka, DJ C. Randolph C., Tom Morozcka and Kenny Rybka. Count on hearing lots of polkas and feel free to dance. There’s be polka instructors on site if you’re not sure what to do.
But there’s still more! Brewers from Brick and Barrel and Platform Beer Co. will be onsite along with the pit masters from Barabicu and other area vendors. There’ll be raffles, a paczki selfie station and girls sporting babushkas. And the folks from Dyngus Day Cleveland will be there scouting talent for this year’s Ms. Dyngus contest.
