Explore Galleries, Artist Studios & More at 78th Street Studios on Third Friday

Third Friday

Fri 2/17 @ 5-9PM

There are several major shows opening this month during the monthly Third Friday art walk at the 78th Street Studios.

At the Derek Hess Gallery, Double Dog Daddy-O, a show of collaborative work between Hess, who launched his career on the powerful flyers he did for rock shows, and local drummer/artist Scott Pickering, goes on view.

Tregoning and Company opens For Love of Zoar, a group of paintings from the Donald & Timothy Whitemyer Collection by German-American artists of the so-called “Cleveland School” who painted in and around this historic village celebrating its bicentennial this year.

At Kenneth Paul Lesko, you can see a survey of historical and contemporary art in Director’s Choice 2017. And HEDGE Gallery has the official opening of Palettes for the Senses: Art + Scent Demystifed, in which scents were created to accompany new works by each of the 11 artists the gallery represents. See our feature here.

That’s just a sampling of the dozens of galleries, shops, vendors and artist studios open for browsing on the building’s three floors every Third Friday.
