The Cleveland Cello Quartet Performs an Eclectic Evening at Heights Art Gallery

Cleveland Cello Quartet

Sat 2/18 @ 7PM

Heights Arts opens its 2017 gallery concert series with a performance by a new Northeast Ohio group, the Cleveland Cello Quartet. This ensemble is doing something similar to what Classical Revolution Cleveland is doing: integrating other types of music into classical music and performing outside typical classical music venues, at both nightclub clubs and non-music venues — it’s even performed at the West Side Market. And unsurprisingly, it has joined Classical Revolution Cleveland for its regular shows at the Happy Dog. But it’s also the ensemble-in-residence at a much more traditional organization, the Music Settlement.

Ensemble members Anna Hurt, Carlyn Kessler, Sophie Benn and Andris Kohl all attended the Cleveland Institute of Music where they met, and all perform and teach in the area. The concert is free but come early for a seat — gallery space is limited.
