The @ClevelandOrchestra Youth Orchestra Performs at Severance Hall

Sun 11/22 @ 8PM

The Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra gives young musicians from across northern Ohio the chance to have a serious pre-professional musical experience, working with members of the Cleveland Orchestra and rehearsing and performing at Severance Hall.

One of its three yearly concerts there is coming up. The group’s music director Brett Mitchell will conduct the young musicians in a program that includes young composer River’s Rush, by young composer Kevin Puts who won the 2012 Pulitzer Prize for his opera Silent Night, Leonard Bernstein’s Symphony No. 1 (“Jeremiah”) and Robert Schumann’s Symphony No. 3 (“Rhenish”).

Tickets are $12-50-$25 and are available through the Cleveland Orchestra box office.
