Three Infectious Cleveland Pop/Rock Bands Bring Summer @HappyDog58

Cities&Coasts

Sat 1/31 @ 9PM

They’re calling it the “Halfway to Summer” concert, and indeed the three bands on the bill are on the sunny, upbeat, poppy spectrum of local groups the Happy Dog books.

Cities & Coasts (pictured) is a project of local musician Nathan Hedges, with a lush, warm inspired by bands like the Beach Boys and their “symphonic pop” spawn, while These Knees offers spirited pop tunes delivered with dynamic aplomb by frontwoman/guitarist Stefanie Trivison. And since Trivison joined Cities & Coasts on vocals the last time we saw them, don’t be surprised if that happens again.

Meanwhile, Summerays go all in on that summertime thing, reflected not only in their name and an album called Summer Daze but their ’60s surf sound updated with just a bit of a ragged punk edge.

Admission is $5.
