Dru Christine Fabrics & Designs is an extension of its online and private client business, creating custom designs for men, women and children. In addition to working with clients to develop their ideas and make them reality, the shop sells both vintage and contemporary fabrics and unusual buttons for those who sew themselves, accessories to enhance that custom-made outfit and some ready-to-wear pieces by local designers and artisans. Owner Dru Thompson works with visitors to assemble a total finished look.
After establishing a clientele at her Waterloo ArtsDistrict location, Thompson outgrew her space and moved to a larger space in the Lake Affect Building in the Superior Arts District in late 2017, where she expanded her popular “learn to sew” class offerings.
