The first Cleveland Candle Co. opened in Mentor in 2014, followed by the Cleveland Heights location in late 2015, where it established a beachhead in Coventry Village in the former Coventry Cats location. Its third location, on West 25th Street in Ohio City, her the West Side Market, opening in June 2018.
If your favorite candle scent is hard to find, you’ll probably find it here. They’ve got more than 100 different scents, including special seasonal scents, and are always adding new ones. Also are made from 100% soy wax sourced from U.S. soy beans — and 90% of their oils are sourced from Ohio. “Buy local, burn local” is their slogan!
There are plenty of pre-made candles and gift sets, but what they offer that’s special is the ability to create your own custom candle, blending whatever scents you chose. Make your candle at their candle bar, then go grab a coffee or lunch from the many nearby places and come back when it sets in 1-2 hours. Cleveland Candle Co. also offers classes, and can host your party as well.
