Tower Press

The century-old Tower Press Building, which stretches for a full block on the outskirts of Asiatown and the PlayhouseSquare/Cleveland State campus district, is one of the area’s former manufacturing/warehouse buildings which have now been converted into artists’ studios.

Tower Press offers artists live-in working spaces, with some of the area’s best-known painters, photographers and filmmakers using it as their base. It’s a perfect space for them, given its proximity to so many of the area’s cultural assets.

Periodically, Tower Press’s community of artists participates in “open studio” events — a time when you can visit, chat with artists and purchase their work.

If you’re in the area, check out the building’s Artefino cafe for a bite to eat. The cafe serves coffee, sandwiches, smoothies, delicious homemade baked goods and is open on the weekdays.
