It can be hard to find a place to eat on Put-in-Bay whose menu is not heavy on seafood and meat. But vegetarians will find numerous options at the Old Forge Café and Creperie whether it’s a huge kale salad with goat cheese and almost or a plate of black bean tacos. You won’t want to leave without trying one of the dessert crepes — the dark chocolate/sea salt/caramel crepe is appropriately called the “Nirvana.” And one person who died here recently dubbed their iced coffee with a shot of espresso the best coffee she’d ever had. Old Forge also offers a wine and beer list to go with your meal. The brick walled interior is a little chicer than most Put-in-Bay establishments and because it’s just off the main drag, its sidewalk patio is a little quieter.
