In mid 2015, Nora moved into the intimate space at the corner of Murray Hill and Edgehill formerly occupied by Il Bacio. Chef Eddie Zalar forgoes the long list of hearty traditional dishes served in many restaurants up and down the street for a small menu of choice selections, including his own distinctive takes on Italian standards. The menu changes seasonally but you might find things like a ravioli with duck confit, mushrooms and asparagus, or spaghetti with clams and octopus — or non-pasta choices like lamb ragu, made with as many local, organic ingredients as possible. They’re accompanied by an extensive wine list. On some evenings, diners are softly regaled with instrumental acoustic music.
