Cleveland celebrity chef Jonathon Sawyer opened the northern Italian-inspired Trentina in University Circle in July 2014 with Matt Danko as his executive chef. As with his Greenhouse Tavern downtown, Trentina features quality local ingredients but in a whole different context. The small establishment (only 32 seats) serves a 15-course “Menu Bianco,” a tasting menu of small courses, for $100 per person, hand curated” by Sawyer and Danko. You don’t make a reservation; you “buy a ticket.” If that sounds a little beyond your price range or desire for culinary adventure, he’ll have pizzas and other individual dishes available once the patio opens and possibly an a la carte menu later on.
