Dink’s family-style restaurant was a fixture in downtown Chagrin Falls for more than a half a century. Then, in 2008, it became the Fresh Start Diner, doing affordable comfortable food.
The space had another transition in late 2015: it became the North Main Diner, owned by 1985 Chagrin Falls High School graduate John Krissinger who returned home to become his own boss after working at various restaurants around the country. He’s sticking to the old formula of serving comfort foods, freshly prepared and at prices that allow you to drop in for breakfast (starting at 6:30am and served all day) on a regular basis or bring the whole family to eat out frequently. There’s even an old-fashioned soda fountain — next thing you know, Chagrin Falls HS kids will be bringing their honeys in after school to ask them to go steady over an egg cream!
