Moved from its original location on the West 25th Street drag to the quieter former Parker’s and Light Bistro location behind St Ignatius, the Black Pig dishes up food with a French flair, favoring seasonal, local ingredients as much as possible. Chef/owner Michael Nowak works with farms around the region including the Refugee Response Farm at the Ohio City Farm across the street.
As the name implies, pork is a specialty although it also offers vegetarian options. The Black Pig’s bar serves wine, cocktails and craft beers until 1 am Tuesday through Thursday and 2am on Friday and Saturday. It also serves Sunday brunch.
