After four years of selling their artisan sausages and cured meats at area farmers markets and events, Melissa Khoury and Penny Barend, aka Suacission, finally opened their long-awaited permanent location in early 2017 in a completely renovated storefront on the newly rebuilt Fleet Street in Slavic Village. (In keeping with the area’s tradition, the storefront used to house Jaworski’s meats, which moved to Middleburg Heights.)
You can stop in to purchase meat products made from humanely raised animals without growth hormones or antibiotics, or sit at one of the tables by the large picture window and munch on a sandwich while observing life passing by on the street outside. They’re open from 11am-7pm Thursday, Friday & Saturday. They also host sausage-making classes on Saturday afternoons; call to make a reservation or schedule one for your group.
