Writer/Photographer Anastasia Pantsios Talks About Rock & Roll Women at the Music Box

Wed 10/10 @ 7PM

Cleveland-based rock writer and photographer Anastasia Pantsios, currently editor of CoolCleveland, will join Music Box Supper Club co-owner Mike Miller for an edition of the club’s popular “Cleveland Stories” series.

Recently, Pantsios put out a book called Girls to the Front: 40 Years of Women in Rock, based on her show of the same name at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, which was on view January-March 2017. It featured more than 40 photos of prominent women musicians, both onstage and backstage, taken mostly in northeast Ohio; the book contains additional photos not seen in the show.

At the Music Box, she’ll talk about encounters with some of the stars who appear in the book, such as Stevie Nicks, Joan Jett, Pat Benatar, Ann & Nancy Wilson and Chrissie Hynde and how the challenges women have faced (and still face) in the music business.

The program is free. The book will be available for purchase and signing. Doors open at 5pm for dinner, and there is a special three-course dinner themed to the program, along with a regular menu. You can make a reservation for dinner or the program here:
