Parties at the Symposium and Chamber Honor the Closing of the Phantasy Complex

Sat 9/1 @ 6PM

Sat 9/2 @ 8:30PM

With the Phantasy complex sold and likely to be torn down in the near future, Labor Day weekend is the last time to pay respects to this club, which played such a huge role in Cleveland’s music scene for 40 years.

And some of the artists who have performed there are paying their last respects as well. On Sat 9/1, the Symposium will host Tap Dance Killer’s Comic Book Cabaret, which will feature rock and Broadway-style performances, poetry and comic book readings, among other things. It’s an anything-goes type of evening with a pop culture theme. Admission is $5.

On Sun 9/2, the goth kids who had long been one of the Phantasy’s most distinctive features should break out the black lipstick and head to the Chamber for Last Rites with DJs Dark Nave and Cable.
