This month’s Walkabout Tremont is an early Mardi Gras celebration they’re referring to as “Beads, Booze and Art.” There’ll be more than a dozen art openings and ongoing displays in local galleries and businesses.
The neighborhood’s array of bars, pubs, lounges and restaurants will be offering food and drink specials; its boutiques will keep extended hours for shopping; there’ll be lots of live music and you can snag a special Mardi Gras passport you get stamped to win prizes. You can even take smartphone-based audio tours of Lincoln Park and some of Tremont’s many historical churches. So dust off those beads and come on out!
