Every year, Trinity Cathedral marks Good Friday with a concert by the Trinity Chamber Orchestra, Trinity Chamber Singers and Trinity Cathedral Choir. These are no ordinary church music ensembles; the membership of both includes some of the most elite musicians in town.
This year, Mozart’s Requiem is the marquee piece. It will be accompanied by Franz Liszt’s Evocation of the Sistine Chapel, Mozart’s Ave verum corpus and Allegri’s Miserere. Trinity’s director of music Todd Wilson conducts and Nicole Keller plays the organ. The concert is free; a free-will offering will be taken.
