Tremont’s Merrick House, now in its 99th year, is a neighborhood center that provides services to families and people of all ages from babies to seniors. Originally a “settlement house” that catered to the European immigrants who flooded into Tremont a century ago, it’s evolved into an institution that offers classes for new parents, youth programming and early childhood education.
Its 6th annual Merrick [Rocks the] House fundraiser to support its work takes place at the Music Box Supper Club. Local band Shout! will perform hits from seven decades of popular music while guests enjoy light appetizers, dance and decide what raffle baskets to put their tickets on.
