The Music for Miles series of free, family-friendly Sunday matinees at Waterloo Arts celebrates Mother’s Day with percussionist Mell Csicsila’s ‘Ten Flowerpots for Mothers’ Day.” Along with flutist Kyra Kester on flute and sax player John Perrine on saxophone, he’ll perform solo and chamber versions of music from four continents that incorporate ten flower pots.
The concerts at the Creative Center at Waterloo Arts are informal, and audience members are encouraged to come and go as they please, look at the art on the walls of Waterloo Arts gallery and to engage the musicians in breaks between music. In addition, Callaloo Café next door will be offering wine and other drinks, and a Jamaican Sunday dinner.
