NYC Pianist Glenn Zaleski Performs With His Trio at BOP STOP, solo at Blu Jazz in Akron

Wed 5/10 @ 7PM

Thu 5/11 @ 8PM

Jazz pianist Glenn Zaleski migrated from New England to New York City to get his post-graduate degree from NYU and be part of that city’s bustling jazz scene. He launched his recording career in 2010 on a duo album with his brother, sax player Mark Zaleski, and has continued to build from there. Still just in his late 20s he’s now dropped his second effort Fellowship with his own Glenn Zaleski Trio.

He and his ensemble — Paul Thompson on bass and James Johnson III on drums — will share their new music with northeast Ohio audiences at the Bop Stop Thu 5/11. Tickets are $12. Zaleski himself will also perform a special edition of Blu Jazz Akron’s solo piano Wed 5/10. That’s free.
