What does it mean to lose your church?
The Catholic Diocese of Cleveland is closing 52 churches and merging them into clusters.
One of those churches is mine, Historic St. Peter in downtown Cleveland.
It has one priest, financial solvency, a tutoring program at a Cleveland elementary school, volunteer activities at nearby homeless shelters, and a dedicated congregation of about 600.

Cleveland 20/20 Music Festival The people behind Cle20/20 Music Festival had a brilliant idea. Instead of using some out-of-touch old folk to develop a way to reverse brain drain, they went straight to the source: young people. The fest, a concert/career fair hybrid (w/ Rusted Root, moe and locals Trancemitter [pictured]), is the product of 5 Beachwood High School students. Catch it on Mon 5/31 from 12-8PM. Former NBA star, U.S. senator, and presidential candidate Bill Bradley was perhaps the only person in national elections history to have the courage to stand up for the separation between Church and State the framers of our Constitution were wise enough to incorporate in that document.
When asked about his religion on the campaign trail, Bradley responded: “My religion is none of your business…”
