For February, Brews & Prose, the monthly author & social event at Market Garden Brewery, presents a pair of poets who have new books just out.
Lynn Powell, who teaches in the creative writing program at Oberlin College, recently published her third collection of poetry titled Season of the Second Thought, which won the 2017 Felix Pollak Prize in Poetry from the University of Wisconsin Press.
She can drive in from Oberlin with the other reader, Chanda Feldman (pictured), who, like Powell, is originally from Tennessee, and is currently a visiting assistant professor of creative writing at Oberlin College. Her book, Approaching the Fields, was published by Louisiana State University Press.
Both authors’ books will be available for sale courtesy of Mac’s Backs, and if you buy a book, you get a free beer! Also, Brews & Prose now has its punchcard program: if you come to ten readings, you get a free growler and fill from Market Garden.
