Replacements Bassist Tommy Stinson Performs at Blue Arrow Records

Fri 7/28 @ 7PM

Throughout the ’80s, bassist Tommy Stinson was a mainstay of the beloved ramshackle indie rock band the Replacements.

After they disintegrated in 1991, Stinson kept busy. He formed the bands Bash & Pop, served as bassist for the Axl Rose/waiting for Chinese Democracy version of Guns N’ Roses, joined the latter-day Soul Asylum and released a couple of solo albums, Village Gorilla Head in 2004 and One Man Mutiny in 2011. He reunited Bash & Pop last year and released an album Anything Could Happen with the group earlier this year.

Now he’s out performing with guitarist Chip Roberts, who played on One Man Mutiny. They call themselves Cowboys in the Campfire, and they’re playing as an informal duo, covering many of the classic songs Stinson has been associated with. In Cleveland, that show will be really casual: it takes place at Blue Arrow Records.

Beer, wine and a limited cocktail selection will be available for purchase with all proceeds going to the Waterloo Alley Cat Project. Tickets are $20.
