Foolishness

Foolishness

It’s a part of the game. You get a little goofy. Maybe a bit over-enthusiastic. But hey, as long as no one gets hurt.

This week, we’re enthusiastic for horrible music, women bartenders, gourmets in the garden and the Greek Fest in Tremont. Thomas and Kidical Mass for the kids, Drawn & Quartered and Voodoo Macbeth for the rest of us. Cats at Musica, the Bopkats at Wilberts, the Three Cantors at The Maltz.

We will miss Jimmy Armstrong & Murray Saul and the Flood of 2014, but we won’t miss the Quiet Crisis. That was just plain foolishness. –Thomas Mulready

His “get down!” paeans to weekend fun, delivered in his frenetic, wildman style every Friday afternoon, made him a local star. Saul passed away this past Sunday after a short illness. He was 86.
