Float

Float

It only looks like it’s floating. But we know better. We build stuff, and nothing real floats.

Techtoberfest will get you anchored, get you a pint, and get you focused on failure. Cause you can’t succeed without it. Just ask Matt Fish of Melt & Steve Presser of Big Fun, both opening shop in Columbus. You gotta see the video.

Abstract artists float at Proximity, Nerds & Robots are at Breakneck, the Electronique Guerilla is at Negative Space, Przemyslaw Jasielski is at CSU. The Alloy Orchestra plays to films at the Cinematheque, Springboard kicks off at CPT, and Brews & Prose floats over to Market Garden Brewery.

We show you how to do a restaurant crawl, and you can view a master class with Diana Krall at Tri-C, and we show how sprawl has hurt Indians attendance.

Our new mobile app features 28 Cool Neighborhoods (AsiaTown, Coventry, Gordon Square, Highland Square, Kent, Ohio City, Waterloo, all the way to Y-town, the Islands, Oberlin…), weather, cool events, news & videos. It’s seriously cool, and you can seriously win like Michelle Clark did. Are you floating yet? –Thomas Mulready

Why The Skywalk Won Some interesting thoughts here but the Skywalk “won” as you state it because the casino operator views it as good for his customers. It’s not because of the revenue (whether it meets or exceeds projections)…
Read the comment from Jim Cirillo here

I understand this skywalk more than the skywalk attached to the new Cuyahoga County administration building….
Read the comment from Paul Kershey here

I respect Joe Baur’s passion for downtown vibrancy, but I am still unconvinced that the garage connection will be any more of a detriment than the similar skywalk that connects The Q to its premium parking facility, which is actually closer to the heart of the new East Fourth Street pedestrian center than the one going up two blocks to the east….
Read the comment from Evan here

If there was a skywalk that connected the casino to the E 4th district, the Warehouse district, or the Convention Center, this would be a different issue. It’s a system of connected skywalks that is problematic to city vibrancy….
