Purplebrown Farmstead in CVNP Invites Visitors to Hike, Plant and Enjoy a Potluck

Sat 4/21 @ noon-5PM

Purplebrown Farmstead, one of the homestead farms in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, is a diversified permaculture farm. Want to get a close-up look at what they do?

Put on your work clothes, gloves and boots and come celebrate Earth Day with them. You can help them plant speckled alder, black locust and apple tree seedlings and herbs while learning about permaculture design, and take a hike around the property.

Tour the farm and meet the animals from noon-2pm. Work hours are from 2-5pm. Afterward there’ll be a potluck social hour, so feel free to bring something to share if you’d like. With luck (and the right weather) they may have some seedings and herbs for sale too.

It’s free; RSVP here.
