Apollo’s Fire, Cleveland baroque orchestra, is once again presenting its music in easily digestible pieces for kids and families with its Wing It! programs.
On Sat 3/3 bring the kids to the Cleveland Public Library downtown in the morning or to Cleveland Heights-University Heights High School for a “baroque jam session” with vocalist Amanda Powell and some of the AF musicians who will focus on the connections between jazz and baroque music, by spotlighting their roots in improvisation.
The audience will be invited to sing and clap and afterward, try out some of the instruments in the Apollo’s Fire Instrument Petting Zoo. The programs are free.
The ensemble is also doing the program at the Akron Art Museum Sunday but that’s sold out.
