Literary Cleveland Holds “A Lit Summer Night” Online Fundraiser

Thu 6/3 @ 7:30PM

Literary Cleveland just seems to keep getting busier and busier, despite the pandemic-driven shutdowns. It’s boasting about the cornucopia of programs it’s launched this year:

“Just since January, Literary Cleveland has debuted “Preparations for Travel” as part of the Cleveland Humanities Festival, launched Voices From  the Edge for essential workers, begun our Amplify Projects series, published the Breaking the Silence and Black Women Coping in Cleveland online anthologies, and partnered with the Cleveland Museum of Art for Desktop Dialogue: An Art Anthology, all while offering an impressive array of classes and craft talks.” And they’ve got their annual free Inkubator Conference coming up July 11-25.

They compiled this list as a way of encouraging people to support their upcoming fundraiser “A Lit Summer Night.” While it’s past the deadline to receive the Literary Adventure Box and a keepsake literary map of Cleveland, it’s not too late to participate and it’s NEVER too late to donate!

If you join the Zoom event, you’ll hear readings by writers who benefitted from Lit Cleveland programs including Voices from the Edge contributors, hear from special guest author Lucy Luong and learn about the ways Li Cleveland encourages writers and readers in the community.
