Wed 4/11 @ 6 – 9PM
Dan Austin, long-distance cyclist and the man Outside Magazine called “One of 10 Icons Changing the World,” is coming to Cle! This author, director, and cycling and sustainability advocate travels the country discussing how diverse communities benefit from sustainability (and, of course, biking).
On Wed 4/11 he’ll be at Market Garden Brewery to meet with Clevelanders of all ages. He’ll do a presentation on his 88bikes Foundation, how important it is for communities to embrace biking and “how Seattle and Portland (where Austin spends much of his time), went from commuter rates in 2000 that were approximately equivalent to Cleveland’s current ones to become the #1 and #4 biking cities nationally.” Then he’ll make an appearance at the Banff Mountain Film Festival.
