Travel Back to the ‘Summer of Love’ at Cain Park

SummerOfLove

Sat 7/23 @ 8PM

You might call this the “Summer of Hate” in Cleveland, with the Republican convention stirring up fear and bigotry. Want to get away from that? You’re in luck. Cain Park is hosting a “summer of love” concert to take you back to that golden summer of 1967 when peace and love was (allegedly) everywhere and willowy young women with long hair and ankle bells offered flowers to strangers in the park.

Musicians they describe as “of the highest caliber” will play all the music that made the ’60s rock, roll and romance. That includes tunes by the Beatles, Cream, the Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin, the Mamas and the Papas, the Youngbloods and more.

“Come on people now, smile on your brother, everybody get together now, love one another right now.”  Don’t try to deport him! Tickets are $20-$38.
