Tour the World in Paintings by Paul-Henri Bourguignon at Artists Archives of the Western Reserve

Paul Henri

Thu 7/21 @ 5:30-8PM

Belgian-born artist Paul-Henri Bourguignon (1906-1988) began studying art in his native Brussels and had his first show at age 22, traveling extensively (and fighting against the Nazi regime in WW II) before settling down in Columbus in 1950 where he was based the rest of his life.

But he remained a world traveler, which is reflected in his acrylic paintings and gouaches, which will be on display at the Artists Archives of the Western Reserve. The show, Paul-Henri Bourguignon:  Citizen of the World, features many paintings from the Archives’ own collection, demonstrating his vivid, energetic impressions of far-flung locales.

It opens with a reception Thu 7/21 @ 5:30-8pm and will be on view through Sat 9/10.
