The Cleveland Museum of Art devoted a whole weekend to celebrating its 100th anniversary which it marked with a lower-key event at the museum on Tue 6/ 7, 100 years to the day after it opened.
The weekend featured dozens of prominent area artists in tents around the lagoon, making work and offering opportunities for visitors to join them in art making. On Saturday evening, it hosted its annual sold-out Solstice Party. And all weekend, there was music inside and out, culminating in a free outdoor concert by the Cleveland Orchestra on the south stairs of the museum.
