Among the events held by Kent’s Standing Rock Cultural Arts is its Around the World music series, showcasing global music and often, musicians from other countries who have settled in northeast Ohio.
That’s the case with Brasilian guitarist/vocalist Luca Mundaca who’ll perform “Cantando o Brasil,” featuring songs from her native country. She’ll play a range of bossa nova, samba and jazz-inspired material, both classic tunes and originals, sung in the native tongue of Brasil, Portuguese. She’ll be accompanied by guitarist Brian Kozak.
The evening starts with a meet-and-greet at 7:30; the concert begins at 8. It’s a $10 donation or pay what you can.
