A lot of people scoff at pet pictures, insisting they can’t be serious art, no matter how many “likes” your cats photos get on Facebook. And of course, many are just documents of the cute poses your cat or dog strikes — always a crowdpleaser!
But the Cleveland Photographic Society is out to show that even this fetching subject can be approached artfully. Its animal-themed juried pop-up show Reigning Cats and Dogs … And So Much More featuring work by its members opens at the Cleveland Print Room for a short run, with a reception today from noon-2pm. It will be on display there through Sat 8/13.
