Acoustic Trio Webster, Carr & Cuddy Performs Diverse Music at Shaker House Concert

Webster

Fri 7/29 @ 7PM

The Shaker Arts Council’s Aha! (At Home with the Arts) series presents a performance by local acoustic trio Webster, Carr and Custy. The ensemble began as Carr and Custy before adding vocalist Laura Webster, a local girl who returned from a stint in New York to become vocal director at Hathaway Brown School.

For this special performance, the trio will be joined by sax/flute player Tom Abersold. The program, “In a Garden So Green: Timeless Love Songs, Past and Present,” includes British Isles folk music, selections from the Great American Songbook and tunes by the Beatles and Jason Mraz.

The house concert will be held outdoors at the Shaker Heights home; guests are invited to bring a lawn chair or blanket. (Tents will be set up in case of rain). Tickets are $30, which also includes light refreshments and a wine and beer reception. It kicks off with time to mingle at 7 followed by the concert at 7:45. They advise getting tickets in advance because the events are popular; call 216-916-9360 or go online to webster-carr-custy-tickets.
