The city of Lakewood is the heart of Cleveland’s restaurant belt, with dozens of establishments of every variety. So it’s no surprise that the Taste of Lakewood, now in its 13th year, is a big event. Nearly three dozen of the city’s restaurants serve everything from burgers to ribs to pizza to sushi, Indian, Thai, Mexican, Greek, Middle Eastern and more. Lakewood’s got some of the area’s best dessert providers too: look for Fear’s Confections, Ice Cream Joy, Sweet Spot and KB Confections. There’s music to munch by too, including Cleveland Americana band Lost State of Franklin, classic rock band Fireside Lakewood, and the Lakewood High School Jazz Band.
Lakewood’s Madison Park, where Taste of Lakewood takes place, will have a beer garden and a dining tent, so there’s plenty of space to kick back and enjoy the food, the music and hopefully nice outdoor weather. It’s free but it’s a fundraiser for scholarships for local high school students, so there’ll be buckets in which you can drop a donation. Be generous!
