Local designer Andrea Howell has been operating her seven-year-old label Tidal Cool out of the Hildebrant Building on the edge of Ohio City, selling her colorful, upbeat fashions online, at boutiques and at local artisan shows such as Crafty Mart. Recently she opened a long-term pop-up shop on Professor Avenue in Tremont, making her gear — including jewelry and accessories — more accessible.
But a great way to check out her latest designs AND help a great cause is to attend the Tidal Cool spring fashion show benefitting Nature’s Bin in Lakewood, taking place at the Lake Affect Studios.
On the models you’ll see Howell’s spring/summer 2016 collection Cuba Libre, featuring a vivid Afro-Caribbean influence in summer looks perfect for hanging out on a patio or boat deck.
