ScienceCafe

Mon 5/9 @ 7PM

The mosquito-borne Zika virus is this year’s Ebola, the looming threat played up by the media — only maybe this one is real. How did this threat emerge and how do mosquitoes distribute disease?

This week’s edition of the monthly Science Café at the Music Box Supper Club features Case Western Reserve associate professor Daniel Tisch of the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatstics, and professor Ronald Blanton of the Department of Global Health and Diseases, addressing how and why mosquito distribution has changed and the challenge of combating new mosquito-borne infections, viruses and parasites.

The evening is free and open to all ages. Doors open at 5:30pm and a limited menu and full bar will be available.
